1 - Senior Forestry Position

DWB Prince George Operations is currently seeking 1 full-time senior Forest Professional with a minimum of 7 years field experience, primarily in pre-harvest timber development.  Candidates that are not registered with the Association of British Columbia Forest Professionals, but meet the field experience requirements, will be considered for this position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for multi-phase project management and must have a strong background in the layout of block boundary and roads.  The primary role of this position is to develop timber for harvesting operations.  Other related duties may include ecological data collection, GPS traversing, and timber cruising.  Office skills are an asset but are not mandatory.

                                                            2 - Project Manager Position

Burns Lake lies at the heart of the Lakes District located in the Bulkley Basin.  Burns Lake is a small community of approximately 2,100 people with more than 5,000 individuals in the outlining areas.  This is the "Land of a Thousand Lakes"; indeed, locals claim that the area has 5,000 km of waterways.  Burns Lake is serious outdoors country with camping, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, birding, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling all easily within reach. 

The office in Burns Lake is currently seeking 1 full-time senior Forest Professional registered with the ABCFP with a minimum of 5 years experience, primarily in pre-harvest timber development.  The individual must be able to work with minimal supervision or no supervision.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of projects.  This includes crew organization, client liaison and the completion of a final package.  Specifically this would be multi-phase project management and therefore the successful candidate must have a strong background in block boundary and road layout.  The primary role of this position is to develop timber for harvesting operations.  Other related duties may include ecological data collection, woodlot management and timber cruising.  Office skills are mandatory.

                                                            GIS Technician             

DWB Forestry Services Ltd. is currently seeking a full time GIS Technician to join our integrated consulting team.  This position in our Lac La Hache office joins a staff of 80 people specializing in forestry and engineering services.

This motivated and responsible individual, competent in ArcGIS will be able to quickly produce forestry map products while adhering to established standards and providing quality service to our clients.  Experience with Microstation, FME, Trimble, and Access will be considered assets.
